Winter Food Carts

Part of my new foodie series Portlandia style.   This winter was particularly RAINY even for Portland so I thought I’d have some fun depicting our wet streets in a different way.  I leveraged some of my filtered shots from Instagram and decided to experiment using acrylic paint, melted wax (crayola crayon) and colored pencil.  I like working with bright colors - almost straight from the tube - and texture.  What better way to exaggerate and contrast the serendipity of food carts against the dullness of downtown.     This is a fun project with more on the way
