The Ghost Redux

Nope. Not a new painting just a new post.  I could feel my Grey Beard Groupies getting a little anxious so I decided to put everyone at ease and write my first pre-mature message.  Wait. That sounded a little weird.  No one my age wants to be associated with the term "pre-mature"   A lot of double entendre meanings and none of them good.   Then again no one reads this so.......

Let's start again.  "The Ghost Redux"   Well that's not right either but it sounded better than the more drab "The Ghost of Pilot Butte Inn...Framed!"    But "framed" is what this post is about. If you look closely you will see this split medium (board-canvas) painting is set inside an old wooden sash purchased in Bend one of my favorite places on planet earth:  Iron Horse.  Located on 210 NW Congress, Iron Horse Antiques is truly a hidden treasure.  It was fun to mess with the existing chipped paint and natural weathering to create the final presentation for "The Ghost of Pilot Butte Inn"

I hope to be more timely with my next post but I'm working on a commission piece right now and would hate to present it.........wait for it........pre-maturely.
