"It's a beautiful day" Remembering Fargo
Oscar history celebrates Francis McDormand and Fargo
20 years ago Francis McDormand won Best Actress for her portrayal of Marge Gunderson in the movie Fargo. As the police chief of Brainerd, Minnesota "Marge" was tasked with solving a triple homicide in dead of winter - while pregnant.
Fargo is a thriller filled with their producer/director's (Cohen bros) signature quirky characters and local dialogue. The snow covered backdrop provides a stark contrast between humans and mother nature. McDormand's pitch perfect depiction of the under stated, unexpected protagonist became one of the most iconic roles in the history of cinema.
This painting is 24"x 36" Acrylic Medium, pencil with some image transfer technique on Canvas. It's just waiting for someone to win it at the this years Oscar party.
