Portland's Broadway during the Movie Era
This was my first commissioned piece from about six years
ago. I was given only a magazine photo
of some art work with a snow theme. I changed the subject matter to Portland’s
Broadway Avenue circa early 1960’s. The
rare snowstorm seems even weirder given our recent heat wave. Still I like the whimsical feel and the
bright colors which is what my client was looking for.
I’m working on a similar commission piece right now albeit
not wintery. I’m creating a couple of “color
schemes” for the client to choose
from. The room to which it will hang has
some unique elements and I want everyone to be as excited as I am about the
finished piece. I’m developing a
process that I anticipate will translate into referrals. Next week I will share the “color schemes” with
my client and will keep you updated so stay tuned you seven lucky followers!
Until then enjoy the sun!
