Winter Shadows and the Red Star Tavern
Hello Monday, I’m back!
I took last Monday off for Presidents’ Day. I can do that because I’m my own boss when
it comes to my blog. I know I pledged to
post every Monday in 2013, but there was some fine print associated with
three-day weekends. I didn’t hear a
whole lot of backlash so I’m thinking I got away with it. Sometimes I feel like I’m talking to a hand
print on a volley ball like Tom Hanks in Castaway. Maybe my opening sentence should be “Hey Wilson"
This is my latest painting.
Downtown Portland has some pretty cool shadows on the rare sunny winter
day. The sun is low in the sky this time
of year, so colors can be pretty dramatic.
I like this corner – just a couple of blocks from my office. I also like the Red Star Tavern www.redstartavern.com. They have a
pretty good happy hour. Of course if I
go there by myself on a Monday afternoon, I may have bigger problems than talking
to a volley ball.
Enjoy your week.....Wilson.
