St Andrews and the dream golf vacation
Dateline: April 2012 in Scotland, the birthplace of golf.
One life. Brick’s world. Landing in Glasgow, Brick and three friends sharing the same passion for traditional links golf, began their quest. Thirteen courses in nine days. Dundonald Links, Royal Troon Portland Course, Western Gailes, Turnberry, St Andrews Links – the OLD COURSE, Royal Troon – OLD COURSE, St Andrews Links – the NEW COURSE, The CARNOUSTIE Golf Links, The Castle Course, MUIRFIELD, KINGSBARNS – Golf Links, The North Berwick Golf Club, Prestwich Golf Club. What a list.
With historic St Andrews OLD COURSE as the back drop I personalized Brick’s 72” x 35” painting by mixing assorted images of their trip with images celebrating a few former British Open Champions and British culture. Brick and friends are joined by Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson, Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, along with Winston Churchill, the Beatles and Margaret Thatcher. In addition, I incorporated each scorecard Brick brought back from Scotland. As always the frame is customized with each course’s name surrounding the painting.
Thank you Brick for everything…enjoy
