The Note

In 1942 being “stood up” meant reading a note at the train station in the rain with your best friend Sam urging you to just get on the train.  Today it would probably mean a text or an email at the airport after slipping on your shoes at the security checkpoint.  We really don’t know exactly how it would go down today but we do know one thing.  It wouldn’t be a tweet.   Bogey follows no one - not even Ingrid Bergman.
